Built by a researcher who has done the work.
Clever Academy is founded and led by Bara M. Hammadeh, MD'28, a medical student and surgeon-scientist in training whose own track record is the curriculum: 64 publications, 75+ invited peer reviews, and presentations at ESMO, AAN, and CVI.
A surgeon-scientist in training, building bridges between evidence and the operating room.
I am a fourth-year medical student at Al-Balqa' Applied University in Jordan, driven by a commitment to surgical innovation and evidence-based medicine. My work blends advanced evidence synthesis with surgical research - meta-analyses, network meta-analyses, dose-response modeling, trial sequential analysis, and Bayesian frameworks across cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and oncology.
I founded and lead Clever Academy - a research academy offering structured courses and mentorship in systematic review methodology, machine learning, and bioinformatics - and have served as Head of Research at the Surgery and Radiology Interest Group (SRIG) and Scientific Committee Officer at SIGN-BAU.
I have contributed to 64 peer-reviewed publications, completed 75+ invited reviews across 20+ journals (including the International Journal of Surgery), and presented at international conferences including ESMO, AAN, and CVI. I work with major clinical databases (TriNetX, MAUDE, SEER, ACS-NSQIP) and have hands-on experience in R, Python, RevMan, and OpenMeta.
Clever Academy exists to give student researchers the path I had to assemble myself - from a first research question to a published meta-analysis.
